Samkele Lynn Mtonga, 21

Samkele is pursuing a Bachelor of Science Honors degree in Biotechnology. Science has been a lifelong passion for her and she is enjoying the program.

“My field of study is centered on using living organisms and/or their products for the development of processes and products beneficial to society. These can be industrial, agricultural, medicinal or environmental. I aim to expand my skills and knowledge in the field so that I may contribute towards the betterment of science in Zimbabwe and globally. I appreciate the assistance I am getting from Amatombazana to help me towards my lifelong passion.”

Herzel Nobukhosi Mbuyisa, 21

Herzel Nobukhosi Mbuyisa, 21

A student at Lupane National University in Matabeleland North, Herzel is grateful for the support she is receiving from Amantombazana.

“Without the support, I would not attend University. I am doing a degree in Development Studies. I am looking forward to pursuing a career with nongovernmental organizations that assist in uplifting the lives of vulnerable populations.”

Rosette Tabo Kawina, 9

Nine-year-old Rosette is a third grader at King George VI Children’s Center for the Disabled in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. She was born with phocomelia, a physical disability, affecting her left leg. She also has partial hearing impairment.

Silindelumusa Mlauzi, 22

Silindelumusa Mlauzi, 22

Hopewell, 17, is studying Advanced Level at Townsend High School. She is taking three subjects: Biology, Food Technology and Design and Geography. “I am grateful for the support from Amantombazana. I wish to pursue general nursing and specialize in Dietician.”

Silindelumusa, a 22 year old student at the National University of Science and Technology is studying Journalism and Media Studies. She is from Filabusi, Matabeleland South, Zimbabwe.

“I should have started University in 2019 but did I not because of lack of funding. I am grateful for the support from Amantombazana.”
